Traditional Model:

Even though the traditional guitars can sometimes be discouraging for me at the moment of building and playing, although exert on me a deligth difficult to explain.

Despite the most part of my time is dedicated to build the contemporary model pattern (20 per year aprox.), I always build some traditional guitar on classic and flamenco model.





Technical info:
Soundboard:
Spruce (Picea abies) or Red Cedar (Thuja Plicata)
Interior design:
Traditional strut (a variety personal system renovated by Antonio de Torres, an at the same time inspired by luthiers as José Ramírez III, Miguel Rodríguez, Robert Ruck, etc.
Ribs and back:
Rosewood from Río and Rosewood from Bahía (Dalbergia Nigra)
Back transversal braces with 3 spruce or cedar bars.
For flamenco guitars: Cypress or Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia Latifolia)
Neck:
Cedar (Cedrella sp.) with ebony (Diospyros) fretboard
Traditional with heel (external heel)
Frets:
Alpaca and nickel Jim Dunlop type (size on request)
Bridge:
Rosewood from Río laminated with ebony on te center.
Weight and size conventional.
Rosette:
Traditional on request.
Purfling and binding:
In wood or abs.
Instrument characteristics:
Is a guitar with spanish character from the andalusian school.
Percussive, but with an important increase for notes.
Fast reply, and clear separated voices.
"Soft" Instruments.
On "flamenco" instruments are accentuated the percussive character and the softness of the instrument.
The color of the sound depends on the woods combinations during the building.
The instrument I search in this building equation is related with the oldest antique traditions
of the spanish guitars.
